Forward Janesville - TheReport - Second Quarter 2019

Barley is our office dog. He comes with me to work every day. I think he really adds some life and fun to the office. When I’m not working or with the family you might find me competitive bass fishing. We fish (catch-and-release) for eight hours and the man with five biggest bass takes it. Nothing too serious—I try to get to as many of the seven annual tournaments our group holds as I can. I haven’t done too poorly! In our practice, we began monthly check-ins: just informal five-minute private chats to see how everyone is doing. It builds easy camaraderie. 1 2 3 Our families are from the Rockton area, where we also live. We looked for practices in Rockford and Madison, but when the Winter Dental practice became available we realized Janesville was the perfect place for us. An easy commute, a great family-friendly city, and so many exciting things happening here. We may have one of those exciting things to announce ourselves in the coming months. Stay tuned! I try to get up about an hour and a half before leaving work to read—daily devotional scripture, business books—things that give me something to think about. When I read about business development, I’m not interested in how to be more productive but rather what it means to take care of people and build a great team. To us, Forward Janesville is important because we believe in being actively involved in the community. We don’t do traditional advertising, but we do support local initiatives in the community we believe in and want to really get to know and help our neighbors. • My wife Tana and I have two boys, Griffin age 6 and Cohen age 3. They keep us busy! With the new practice, we don’t get to do as many things like family vacations anymore, but we do spend time on the lakes, I coach Griffin’s soccer, and we love baseball. I hesitate to say this in Wisconsin Brewer territory, but we are huge Cardinals fans. { LIFE LESSONS } Since I was a kid, I told myself that by 30 I would own a classic car. Last year, I made good on it and bought a ’68 Chevelle. I have since turned that around and now have a ’71 Nova. My uncle loved cars and I grew up around that. I get a lot of joy out of it. BRANDON DREIER, DMD OWNER, DREIER FAMILY DENTAL, LLC Clients are also your “family.” We want everyone to feel a part of what we are doing and know they can count on us. You have to own both your successes and your mistakes openly and honestly. I really believe that if you take care of people, they will take care of you. It’s so important to let everyone know they are part of the family—it’s really important to us and why we put it right in our name. • • • { EDUCATION } 2009-2013 Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) Alton, Illinois 2006-2009 Augustana College Bachelor of Arts, Biology Rock Island, Illinois { WORK EXPERIENCE } 2017-PRESENT Owner Dreier Family Dental, LLC Janesville, Wisconsin 2016-2017 Associate Dentist First Choice Dental Sun Prairie, Wisconsin 20 • W W W .
