Forward Janesville - TheReport - Fourth Quarter 2018
Total Exports to Canada Affected by Tariffs: $717.9 million 1. Handkerchiefs, Tissues & Paper Towels: $117 million 2. Toilet Paper: $58.4 million 3. Bread, Pastry, Cakes, & Puddings: $46.6 million All politics aside, international trade matters to Wisconsin. The Trump Administration’s recently imposed tariffs on Canada, Mexico, the European Union and China have led to retaliatory tariffs on Wisconsin-made products. Simply put, this threatens our nation's economic stability. We hope that this is a short-term situation, and that the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement (USMCA) will boost Wisconsin's economy by increasing free and fair trade between our nations. 10 • W W W .
