Forward Janesville - TheReport - Fourth Quarter 2021

AMBASSADOR PROFILE Harv Linse Owner, BMC Business Advocates/Cardconnect • WHY DID YOU JOIN THE FJI AMBASSADORS? There are many awesome volunteer roles in Janesville with so many notable organizations. I’ve always known Forward Janesville to be one that serves the Janesville community with a great amount of integrity. I wanted to be a part of that, to serve the business community in somewhat of a leadership position. I’ve been blessed—the FJI ambassador group is a blast! • WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH IN THIS ROLE? Very simply, I wish to serve businesses here in Janesville and to be at least a small part of the growth that is taking place. It has been a blessing to connect with many of the business leaders while in this role, and to see the amazing business success taking place, even during a pandemic. PERSONAL SNAPSHOT: • BEST QUALITY: Paying close attention to detail. • WORST HABIT: Snoring (loudly, my kids say) on the couch when the rest of the family is trying to watch a movie. • WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MY WORK: Being able to help businesses save money in the payments environment while keeping them safe and secure. • THE BOOK ON MY BEDSIDE TABLE: Game Plan for Life by Joe Gibbs • MY CAN’T-MISS SHOW: Packer and Brewer games. • MY FOODIE OBSESSION: A medium to well-done high quality rib-eye steak. I’d eat one every night if I could. • #1 ON MY BUCKET LIST: Purchase a warm ocean-side home in the Florida Keys and spend two to three months there every winter. • BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: My wife Angela encouraged me to “just go for it” when I was contemplating starting my own business. • WORST PIECE OF ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: I was told by a few of my friends to NOT marry my wife of 31 years. • FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD: St. Thomas, overlooking Magens Bay, especially in February. Sun and warmth in February are a treasure. • WHAT ONE WORD BEST SUMMARIZES YOU? Genuine. • IF I RULED THE WORLD, EVERYONE WOULD … follow Jesus. Above: vacationing with my wife Left: hanging out with our new Goldendoodle puppy, Baxter. Below: our 3 kids (Brennan, Calli, & Mariah)
